CHOIR
Our church is blessed with a congregation who wants to please the Lord. There are many who serve with their talents. For that reason we have a strong music department led by Fred and Pat Goff. Pat plays a Yamaha keyboard and that adds a lot of diversity to our music. Our pianist is Marian Graham. We think that Pat and Marian both have a little "honky tonk" in their fingers so we usually have a lively music program. We have several choir members that are very talented singers, musicians and composers.

The only requirement it takes to join the choir is that you love to sing and praise the Lord and have a good time while doing it! We would encourage anyone who can meet these requirements to come on and join us!

WMU
As members of the Womens Mission Union, we lead our church to pray for missions, give to missions, learn about missions and do missions.
Ladies of Courage is the place where you can join your sisters in Christ for planning mission projects, fellowship and prayer. A Misson Meeting is held the third Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. A luncheon is held quarterly in members homes.

AGAPE CLOTHES CLOSET
The Agape Clothes Closet is open the last Friday of each month from 9 a.m. to 12:00 noon. We are located on the church grounds at 850 Lillian Dean, Buchanan Dam. Our patrons are invited to take as many items of clothing as they need, free of charge.

Clothing is donated by our wonderful church family and others in the community. We also accept donations of bed linens, towels, and small appliances. These items are distributed to victims of fires and other disasters.
If anyone has an emergency they may contact Carolyn Laxson at
(512) 793-9026.

 FOOD PANTRY
Our food pantry is stocked with canned foods and dry staples. We provide food for anyone in need. Individuals and families alike are welcome to come and use our Food Pantry ministry. We keep our shelves stocked well. Every month we have a "food pounding" where our members bring canned goods and dry staples to replenish the items that have been given out. If you or anyone you know are in need of this ministry, please contact the church office. We will be glad to help.

MEDIA LIBRARY MINISTRY
The mission of Buchanan West Baptist Church Media Library is to assist the members and leaders of BWBC in enhancing the quality of worship, learning, witnessing and ministry in their obedience to The Great Commission. To provide resources and services which advance learning about God, stimulate Christian growth, enrich worship experiences and enable the ministry of the members and leaders of our church. To be a provider of information and services to implement the present and planned mission of BWBC and to share these resources with those outside our
membership.
We have books, books-on-tape, Bible-on-tape, audio cassettes, C.D.'s and videos for adults, children and youth. These items cover a variety of subjects including fiction, biography, Christian faith, other religions, Christian music and C.D's. The majority of items have been donated by current and past church members in honor of or memory of a loved one. Best of all, the library is available for use by anyone in our community.

BAPTIST MEN'S BROTHERHOOD
We have our Men's Brotherhood breakfast at 8am on the first Saturday of every month. The men come in and make and serve breakfast for the ones that they have invited from the surrounding area to join them in fellowship and a GREAT breakfast! After the breakfast there is usually a program. After the program, they talk about projects that they will be envolved in and offer to do for the community. Not only are these men good cooks, they are very talented and blessed to have many different skills. They have men that are carpenters and plumbers. There are men that are good with lawn maintenance, and some that are mechanics, just about anything you can think of, these men can do it!
When there is someone in the area with a known need they offer their expertise and talents to minister to them.
They have built decks, wheel chair ramps, fixed cars, fixed plumbing problems, mowed lawns, trimmed trees. You name it, they've probably done it. If you have a need or If you know of a need in our area, you may call the church and our Brotherhood of Baptist Men may be able to help you.

NURSING HOME MINISTRY
We have a group of people that go  to sing and minister to the residents in Kingsland Hills Nursing home. They go on the first and third Wednesday at 3pm.
They sing for the residents and have a devotional and a time of fellowship. Sometimes some of our musicians go with them. We have  a couple of people who are pianists and a couple who play the guitar and mandalin and sometimes we have a harmonica or two. There are also the ones that can't play an instrument but enjoy singing. It is a good time, had by all! This is a very rewarding ministry. The residents love to see us come and they are never ready to see us go!
